Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader has actually been rising in the past week on Amazon’s “Bestsellers in Electronics” list, and is now #2 ON THE LIST. The reason this is surprising is that Kindle cannot be received in time for Christmas — a fact Amazon is very clear about — while all other products on the list can. Presumably there has been a frenzy of electronics buying for the holidays on Amazon, yet a product that cannot be received until well into 2008 is rising in sales compared to products that make perfect Christmas gifts.
