University Cracks Every State Voting Machine
University of California researchers successfully CRACKED EVERY VOTING MACHINE certified by the state, according to a report commissioned by the State of California and released yesterday. University “hackers” bypassed or gained control of voting systems from Sequoia, used in Alameda, Napa and Santa Clara counties; Hart InterCivic, used in San Mateo and Sonoma Counties; and Diebold, used in Marin County. The findings will be presented Monday at a hearing in Sacramento. It will likely prove controversial because the “hackers” were given machine source code, manuals and unlimited access to the machines (whereas real hackers would only be able to get their hands on source code and manuals…)
