UK cameras to capture, log every license plate

The UK plans to install a nationwide network of cameras “within months” that will automatically capture and log the license plate of every car that drives by. Police across England, Wales and Scotland will be able to use the data about which cars are where to hunt down suspects for all kinds of crimes. The UK already has more cameras per capita than any other nation. What’s next?
