‘Smart Closet’ Tells You What To Wear

Posted on 17 November 2007 by

Researchers in the wearable computer laboratory at the University of South Australia have invented what they call a SMART CLOSET. The closet has a computer system built in. It monitors both what you wear and also your schedule. It prevents you from wearing, for example, the same clothes you wore last time you met the person you’re meeting today. It tells you when your clothes need dry cleaning, and even which clothes go with what shoes, etc. You can sew sensors into all your clothes, and it can detect which clothes are hanging in the closet. What’s funny about this project is that it solves a problem only propellerhead guys have. The geeks at the University of South Australia didn’t think of the obvious and superior alternative: Get a woman.
