A vague rumor is RIPPLING THROUGH THE MOVIE-BLOGOSPHERE that “someone” at “some studio” is getting close to a deal to make another movie based on Frank Herbert’s novel, Dune. This could be great news if true. The novel is fantastic, and screams for a movie treatment. But the David Lynch movie sucked, and the Sci Fi Channel mini-series was generically bland.
