The “Islamic Rage Boy” craze is sweeping the nation, threatening to overshadow the now moribund “Everywhere Girl” fad. Those angry mobs of Muslims you see on TV burning books or effigies every time someone, somewhere offends Muslims are usually bused in to stage a media event (which the Western media always participates in because angry Muslims make for entertaining prime time news visuals). One of the most prolific rent-a-protesters is the now-famous Kashmiri-based “Islamic Rage Boy” pictured here — and everywhere. This guy shows up on the pages of the world’s top newspapers protesting Danish cartoons, magazine photos of a Muslim Mosque, a visit to India by President Bush, comments by the Pope, execution of a Muslim terrorist by India, Israeli military action, and more! When the media wants Muslim outrage, “Islamic Rage Boy” is there. America’s best political columnist, Christopher Hitchens, exposed the “Rage Boy” phenomenon in a brilliant Slate column Monday. Now you can buy “Islamic Rage Boy” t-shirts, and see him get the full Photoshop treatment.
