Questioning the Cell Phone Crackdown

Cell phones, iPods and laptops are increasingly banned in cars, theaters, restaurants, schools, hospitals, museums, doctor’s offices and elsewhere. Here’s what’s so bad about banning gadgets: 1) all these bans add up to less freedom; 2) they don’t fix the root problems; and 3) we’re only banning this stuff because it’s new. Is that a good reason? It’s time to FIGHT THE CRACKDOWN.
