Pakistan Frees Al Qaeda ‘Computer Expert’

Pakistan has released al-Qaeda “computer expert” Mohammad Naeem Noor Khan. When khan was arrested in July, 2004, his “laptop contained details of a terrorist plot to attack key US financial installations and locations in the UK,” a government lawyer told the Supreme Court today, according to the BBC. “Pakistani investigators said Mr Khan had invented secret codes, which enabled al-Qaeda operatives to send ENCRYPTED EMAILS AND MESSAGES via the Internet.”
