One Cyber Attack Could Cost $700 Billion

A new report by the U.S. Cyber Consequences Unit (an independent research group that advises the government on cyber attack security) says that a single cyber attack on the U.S. infrastructure could cost more than $700 BILLION — roughly equivalent to damage from 50 major hurricanes. News of this estimate emerged one day after a Forbes article that says the “Great Firewall of China” would give China an enormous advantage in the event of a cyber war between the two countries.
