Motion-Sensor Bike Lock Tracks Thief Via CCTV

A police officer who patrols the University of Portsmouth worked with the university to develop a motion-sensor bicycle lock that tracks thieves via surveillance cameras. The complicated invention requires a special rack, and a text message to the University’s security office. If someone steals the bike (and the lock), the lock tells cameras to ZOOM IN ON THE BIKE and alert security. But wouldn’t it be easier to just buy a stronger lock?
