Microsoft’s ‘Stealth’ Update Wrecks XP Repair
Windows Secrets’ Scott Dunn reports that Microsoft’s summer “silent update” actually DAMAGES WINDOWS XP. Windows XP’s “Repair” feature “rolls back” XP to a previous state when Windows becomes unbootable. But since the “silent update,” people who use the “Repair” feature can no longer install Microsoft’s 80 latest patches.
