Mexico City to Become Giant Free Wi-Fi Hotspot

Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard says that the entire city will become a ginormous FREE Wi-Fi HOTSPOT by the end of next year. Over 19 million people live in Mexico City. The city decided to roll out Wi-Fi because it wanted to install 4,000 security cameras. Rather than lay fiber they decided to make it wireless. And since there was going to be wireless all over the place, why not make access public?
