I told you January 3 when NBC’s remake of the 1970s hit, “The Bionic Woman,” was greenlit; notified you February 13 when they picked their star; and showed you May 11 the first stills from the show. Today, clips from the show emerged on YouTube that, sadly, reveal a REALLY STUPID BIONIC WOMAN SERIES. The special effects are poorly done, the writing clunky, the acting horrible, the cinematography amateurish and the action sequences pedestrian and derivative. The Bionic Woman premieres this fall on NBC and should be cancelled by Spring. It’s too bad. Unlike the 1970s, today we “have the technology” to produce a great series about an interently fascinating subject — “bionic” humans. Unfortunately, we don’t have the vision.
