Google’s Orkut Banned in India… Sort Of

Google’s irrelevant social networking site, Orkut, has been BANNED in the Indian state of Maharashtra because some members made “derogatory references to Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji” (who died in 1680) and also for “obscene posts against Hindu women.” The ban appears to be voluntarily imposed by cybercafe owners, who fear “legal hassles.” Yeah. I don’t get it, either. How about banning Orkut because their are too many $#@!int Brazilians on it? Those Brazilians love the Orkut.
