Forget iPhone: iPod Touch Supports VoIP Calls

Love the iPhone but hate AT&T? (I’m talking to YOU New York City!). Soon you may be able to use the iPod Touch as a phone. The blog Cult of Mac claims to have “confirmed” that iPOD TOUCH IS VoIP-READY on the hardware side, and possibly on the software side as well. (Of course, you’ll still need to be in range of a Wi-Fi network to use VoIP.)
