Audi Concept Gadget Puts You In Remote Control

Posted on 18 October 2007 by

Audi unveiled a concept gadget called the “Audi Mobile Device,” and also the “Metroproject.” OK, Audi’s not very good at codenames but it’s great at car gadget concepts. The device is both 3G cellular and Wi-Fi, and lets you CONTROL YOUR CAR FROM ANYWHERE. The screen and buttons let you control keyless entry, heating and cooling, navigation input and both audio and video. If someone breaks into your Audi, the device will take a picture of the perp using an in-dash camera, and show you on a map where your car is. The device fits in a cradle on the car’s dash.
