Army to Build ‘Minority Report’ Fast Iris Scan

The U.S. Army Research Laboratory is working on the development of iris-scanning biometric ID technology that can identify up to THIRTY PEOPLE PER MINUTE AS THEY WALK BY. The Army plans to build a device that’s portable and ruggedized. Current systems require each person to walk up, stop and hold still in front of the iris scanners.
