Air Force Gets New Toy, Er, Unmanned System

The U.S. Air Force has gotten its hands on 30 TINY AIRPLANES for aerial surveillance. The airplanes vary, but some of them are Wasp III systems from AeroVironment, which are ruggedized and “back-packable,” weigh less than one pound each and have a wingspan of 29 inches. The airplanes are remote-controlled and fitted with cameras, both “regular” and infra-red.
