Samsung’s cellphone slimming center does it again. This time, putting the Samsung X828 on diet and achieving an awesome 5.9mm thinness with the new Samsung U100.
It features a respectable 3-megapixel camera, while the rest of its specifications are unknown at this moment. It is expected to hit Europe in March.
Remember, the phone’s warranty probably doesn’t cover snapping it into halves inside your back jeans pockets.

Samsung’s not gonna wait and let Apple bite into their cellphone marketshare. And with the announcement of their new Samsung F700 today, looks like Apple has got serious competition.
Like the iPhone, the F700 sports a touchscreen interface. But, here are two things that the F700 does better: Slide-out QWERTY keyboard and VibeTonz technology which responds to touches with vibrations.
Touchscreen may have its advantages, but sometimes real keys with tactile feedback just work better. And with the F700, you have the choice. Even if you choose to use the touchscreen, the phone provides vibration feedback so it will likely work better than iPhone (unless Apple decides to add this, which should be easy).
Other notable features:
- 7.2Mbps HSDPA
- 5-megapixel camera (beats iPhone hands down)
- Full HTML browser (perhaps not as good as iPhone’s Safari?)
- 2.78-inch touchscreen display
The release date is unknown, but it will be showcased at the 3GSM World Congress next week. Sit tight for more details coming from the event.

Prints made from standard ink lasts around 15 years. Not a big deal in this digital age, since you could simply reprint from your digital copy. But Kodak likes the idea of long-lasting inks anyway.
Kodak’s new printer ink lasts not twice, not trice, but about 6.6 times longer than typical inks, 100 years to be exact. Not only will the ink last longer, it is cheaper as well, currently being priced at US$9.99 for a cartridge of black ink and US$14.99 for the five-color ones.
And as a bonus, the printers that this ink works on are blazingly fast as well, capable of churning out 22 pages per minute.

Since researchers have already proven that cellphones are dirtier than even toilet seats, something has to be done to keep our dear cellphones clean! So Fujitsu thought, why not make it washable! Yeah, that should get rid of those pesky bacteria.
The Fujitsu F703 is totally waterproof, you could submerge it in water and it’ll still be alive and ringing. Which makes it great for bathroom conversations, as demonstrated by the babe pictured above.
Price and launch date unconfirmed.
